President Roosevelt at a Press conference said that if the rubber situation grows worse it might be necessary to commandeer all automobile tires' throughout the nation. He said he was not trying to save rubber or gasoline.but to save the nation. He believed the nation'would be willing to make any sacrifice in the present emergency.
