BRITISH & ALLIED TROOPS IN BURMA SIR R. DORMAN-SMITH’S TRIBUTE. MAJORITY OF THE BURMESE LOYAL. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) RUGBY, July 8. Paying a great tribute to the way in which British and Indian troops fought in Burma, Sir Reginald Dorman-Smith, Governor of Burma, said that while a small percentage of the Burmese joined the invaders, the majority helped the Allied troops.
