METHODIST CHURCH

MEETING OF GUILD. PATRIOTIC ACTIVITIES. At the monthly meeting of the Masterton Methodist Ladies’ Guild, Mrs H. S. Kings presided over a good attendance of members. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames White, Madsen, Judd, Whitlock, Fellingham and Daysh. As the Guild was unable to send a delegate to the annual meting of the Guild Fellowship in Wellington, the secretary was instructed to send an apology and a report of the work of the Masterton Guild during the past year. Members were asked for contributions towards the supper at the Bible Class concert on Saturday night. The members agreed to the request to provide help at the Anzac Club in August. During the afternoon the ladies were kept busy making slippers. A parcel of work was also finished for the Red Cross Society. Afternoon tea was served by the tea hostesses, Mesdames Fly and Prior.
