WEDDING

DORNAN—RUSSELL. Knox Presbyterian Church, Masterton, was the scene of a wedding recently, when Grace Dorothy, second daughter of Mr A. W. Russell and the late Mrs Russell, of Master ton, was married to William Samuel, son of Mrs C. and the late Mr Dornan, Belfast, North Ireland. The bride, who entered the church on the arm’ of her father, wore a charming fully trained frock of deep cream satin. Her tulle veil was held in place by a halo of lilies. Her bouquet was of orchids, carnations, roses and tulips. The bride was attended by two bridesmaids, Misses D. and C.' Kemp, who wore turquoise blue and salmon pink silk georgette over taffeta. Both wore halos and carried bouquets to tone in autumn shades. Little Alison Davie (niece of the bride) was flower girl. She was dressed in apple green silk georgette and carried a basket of spring flowers.

The duties of best man and groomsman were carried out by Sergeant H. Russell and Mr P. Watts, respectively. As the bride left the church she was presented with a lucky horseshoe by Lorraine Kay of Christchurch. The reception was afterwards held in the Masonic Hall where the usual toasts were. honoured. The two-tier wedding cake was made and presented by Mrs C. Braggins.

Mr and Mrs Dornan left later on a honeymoon which was spent in the South Island. The bride travelled in a planet blue frock, tailored coat and hat with navy accessories.
