Unauthorised persons, it is reported, are visiting houses in Masterton offering to make inspections of chimneys, at a charge of 3s 6d per house. Householders are advised that no charge is being made for this service by the authorised inspectors, working through the Public Works Department and local bodies. Girl Found Dead. A boy walking across a paddock in the Greenmeadows district on Saturday found the body of Miss Joan Rushbrook, aged 21, in a creek at the foot of a pylon carrying a 17,000-volt power line. Miss Rushbrook, who was a postal carrier at Napier, had been missing since Thursday from the place where she- boarded. Burns on the body suggested that death had resulted from electrocution. ‘
