AIR FORCE CROSS
AWARDS IN AUSTRALIA. (Special P.A. Correspondent.) (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Squadon Leader George Urquhart (“Scotty”) Allen was one of five officers to be presented with the Air Force Cross by the Governor-General Lord Gowrie. The awards were made for courage and devotion to duty. Since the call-up for the R.A.A.F. Reserve Squadron Leader Allen has been instructing young pilots in the advanced flying of Catalina flying-boats.
