SOLDIERS’ DANCE ENJOYABLE GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) An enjoyable dance for the soldiers was held in the Town Hall on Saturday night. Excellent music was supplied by a soldiers’ orchestra. Extras were played by Misses Grace Fraser and Ngaire Tock.er. Mr F. Talbot was M.C. The Junior Patriotic Committee had charge of the supper arrangements. Pei'sonal Items. Miss A. Leslie, Huntly, is visiting Mrs Lowell. Miss Twoomey, Lyttelton, is the guest of Mrs C. W. Ritchie. Miniature Rifle Club. The following were the scores in the weekly competitions held by the Featherston Miniature Rifle Club: —B. Williams 99, I. Feast 97, R. McKenzie 96, L. Rasmussen 95, Mrs Rasmussen 93, A. Viles 92, A. Cook 91, C. Foster 90, C. Rasmussen 86, G. White 85, D. Sim 82, S. Buck 78, L. Halpin 72, Mrs Symons 62, R. Saunders 28. Golf Games Cancelled. The Featherston Golf Club cancelled all week-end games as a mark of respect to the memory of Sergeant Observer W. H. Rowles, N.Z.R.A.F., who was killed in action in June. COSY THEATRE “THE LADY EVE.” On Wednesday night there will be shown one of the outstanding comedies of the year—“ The Lady Eve,” featuring Barbara Stanwyck, Henry Fonda and Eugene Pallette,
