British Prime Minister’s Tribute CHEERED IN THE HOUSE OF COMMONS LIEUTENANT-GENERAL FREYBERG WOUNDED (British Official Wireless.) /(Received This Day, Noon.) . RUGBY, July 2. A special tribute to the Nevz Zealanders’ part in the present battle of Egypt was paid by Mr Churchill in his House cf Commons speech. “There is one reinforcement the enemy knows about and that is the New Zealand Division,’’ said Mr Churchill, amid loud cheers. The British Prime Minister added: “The New Zealand Government, themselves under the menace of potential invasion, advised the fullest use of their troops and they have been sent into battle under the command of the heroic General Freyberg, who has again been wounded. ’ ’ Mr Churchill said the New Zealanders were lighting hard and were new acquitting themselves in a manner equal to their former records.
