PRESENCE IN THE BALTIC ASSUMED BY GERMANS. ORE IMPORTS FROM SWEDEN ENDANGERED. ' LONDON, July 1. German naval circles believe that British submarines have reached the Baltic Sea through the Stalin Canal,
says the Stockholm correspondent of the “Evening Standard.” Submarine warfare in the Baltic has reached big proportions. Because of it, the only remaining passenger link between Germany and Sweden is the long sea route by way of Glensburg and Copenhagen. The correspondent adds that German imports of iron ore from Sweden seem in great danger.
