FATAL COLLISION

ARMY SIGNALLER KILLED. TRAGEDY AT A BRIDGE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. July 1. . An army signaller was killed this morning when the motor-cycle he was riding was involved in a. collision with an army truck on the Warkworth-Kai-para Flats Road. He was Signalman E. Dainty, whose parents live at Mount Eden.

The truck was travelling from Kaipara and the motor-cycle was going in the opposite direction. Both approached a one-way bridge at the same time and it i s understood that the truck slowed down to allow the cyclist to pass over first. While crossing the bridge the cyclist lost his balance and collided with the truck.
