ENEMY ATTACKS REPELLED IN KURSK AREA. | NO MATERIAL CHANGE ELSEWHERE. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, July 1. A Soviet communique states that on the Kursk front today Russian troops repelled attacks by the enemy. In some sectors heavy tank engagements have taken place. The enemy lost heavily in men and material. On the Sebastopol front, the enemy succeeded in advancing at the cost of enormous losses. Fierce hand-to-hand fighting is taking place. There is no material change in other sectors of the front.
