The Attorney-General, Mr Biddle, indicated that the eight German saboteurs recently arrested after being landed from U-boats, will be handed over to the War Department for prosecution. In the meantime a demand for harsh penalties and a rapid trial is mounting throughout the country. A member of the House of Representatives, Mr Pfeiffer, has introduced a Bill in Congress calling for a mandatory death penalty for persons, alien or citizens, giving aid or comfort to the enemy.
