MASTERTON Y.M.C.A. ROOMS REST & REFRESHMENT. USE BY DEMOLITION WORKERS AND OTHERS. The Masterton Y.M.C.A. Rooms arc the centre of great activity, following on Wednesday night’s earthquake. Troops are making the rooms a general meeting place for rest and refreshments. Men engaged on picket duty, demolition squads and others, who present tickets issued by the Masterton Borough Council are supplied with tea without payment' and other soldiers receive tea at the rate of Id a cup. The rooms are thronged with soldiers throughout the day and night. A considerable number of men are being billeted in the gymnasium and in other rooms. The secretary, MiGaze, is being assisted by two other Y.M.C.A. officers and a large number of lady helpers are attending to the refreshment arrangements.
