AT TE WHARAU
ALL CHIMNEYS DOWN. LOSSES OF HOUSEHOLD GOODS.
Reports from the Te Wharau district, indicate that all chimneys in the area were shaken down, though no structural damage appears to have been suffered by buildings. Losses of crockery and other household breakables were considerable. Cracks appeared in many places on the roadways.
