CARTERTON SALE GOOD PRICES REALISED. A TOTAL CLEARANCE MADE. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report as follows on their Carterton sale yesterday:—A small yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs came forward. Prices were good throughout and practically a total clearance was effected under the hammer. The following are some of the realisations: — Sheep: Fat hoggets, 22s 6d to 23s 3d; fat and forward hoggets, 19s 6d, 19s Bd, 20s to 20s 4d. Cattle: Jersey heifers, just calved, to £7 10s; Holstein heifers, just calved, to £6; Jersey heifers on drop, to £8; 2-year empty Jersey heifers, £5, £5 7s 6d to £5 10s; fat S.H. cows, to £7; fat cows, £5 to £5 10s; forward cows, to £4 2s; store cows, £2 5s to £2 17s 6d; vealers, to' £3 10s.
