ADMIRAL CRUTCHLEY
4 APPOINTED TO COMMAND AUSTRALIAN NAVY. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) CANBERRA, June 25. Rear-Admiral Victor! Alexander Charles Crutchley, V.C., D. 5.0., has been appointed commander of the Australian naval squadron in succession to Rear-Admiral J. G. Grace. Rear-Admiral Crutchley, who is aged 49. has commanded the Warspite since 1937. He won the V.C. in May, 1918, while serving in the Vindictive in the attempt to block Ostend Harbour.
