MASS MURDER
* ANOTHER CZECH VILLAGE RAZED ALL me:n mowed down by FIRING SQUADS. ALLEGED CONCEALMENT OF PARACHUTISTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright LONDON, June 25. The Nazis in Czechoslovakia have wiped out the village of Lezaky, about 60 miles east of Prague. As in the case of the village of Lidice, all men in the village were mowed down by firing squads. The charge again was that the villagers had hidden parachutists alleged to have had a hand in the killing of Heydrich. Budapest radio, quoting report* from Prague, said that the entire population of the village, amounting to 100 were charged with hiding parachutist? who participated in the preparation of plans for the attack on Heydrich. Thirty more Czechs have been sentenced to death in Prague and Brno. It is announced in Prague that 18 more Czechs have been sentenced tc death. It is estimated in London that 719 persons have been killed as a reprisal for the assassination of Heydrich, excluding the victims of the two destroyed villages.
