LOCKED IN BATTLE
EIGHTH ARMY & AXIS INVADERS FURIOUS ONSETS WITHSTOOD BY BRITISH & DOMINION TROOPS. GERMANS THROWING IN EVERYTHING. LONDON, June 25. Reuter’s special correspondent states that the Eighth Army is at present locked in battle with the entire striking force of the enemy between Sidi Barrani and Mersa Matruh, The next 24 hours will see hard fighting. The Germans are throwing everything into the battle. British and Dominion troops are standing up to the fury of the enemy drive.
