MAGISTRATE’S COURT

SITTING IN MASTERTON, A sitting of the Masterton Magistrate’s Court was held this morning before Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M. On the information of Inspector J. McGregor, Barry John Riley was fined £1 with costs 10s, for operating a motor cycle without having a riders’ licence. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following civil cases: —Major and Gooding versus V. E. Donald (Wellington) claim £1 Is, costs 9s; Frederick Conrad Yule versus Allan Carter, claim £l4 8s 3d, costs £2 16s; J. F. Gleeson versus Susan Boswell, possession of tenement, claim £3O and mesne profits, with costs £4 13s 6d.
