WAGES REPORT

ACCEPTED BY BRITISH MINERS UNANIMITY AT NATIONAL CONFERENCE. EFFORTS TO INCREASE PRODUCTION. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) RUGBY, June 23. A national delegate conference of miners in London unanimously accepted the recommendations of the Board of Investigation for wage increases and the establishment of a national minimum wage. Mr Lawther, president of the Miners’ Federation, said there was not a single dissentient, either individual or collective, from any district. The conference also decided to make an appeal to members that the utmost should be done to secure increased production and that all obstacles should be swept on one side in order that the country should have the coal it required. In regard to output, the bonus principle has been accepted.
