WAIRARAPA UNION. MATCHES FOR SATURDAY. The following are the Wairarapa Rugby Union’s fixtures for Saturday: A Grade: Carterton v Masterton, at Carterton; referee. Mr W. Spooner. College v Red Star, at Masterton; Lt. B. G. Winter. B Grade: Carterton v College, at Masterton: Sgt. G. T. Winter. Masterton v Featherston, at Masterton; Mr B. Hurley. Representative Match. Army v Wairarapa, at Carterton, at 2.45 p.m.; Mr W. Grantham. ARMY v WAIRARAPA. GAME AT CARTERTON. On the Carterton Showgrounds on Saturday next two very strong representative teams, Army and Wairarapa, will meet. The Army team contains prominent players who have gained representative honours in Auckland, Manawatu, Wellington and Hawke’s Bay. The Wairarapa fifteen comprises the best of the players who have made a name for themselves in recent years in Rugby. Given good weather the game should be the best witnessed for many years in the Wairarapa. The price for admission is 2s. Members of the Services will be admitted free. The Brigade Band will be in attendance.
