READY TO JOIN ALLIES IF COUNTRY IS INVADED., PREMIER’S DECLARATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, June 22. “If the Allies invade Norway and take arms for the population, all the male Norwegians will join the invading forces,” said the Prime Minister of Norway, Mr Nygaardsvold, in Ottawa today. He added that the information from Norway was sporadic. “It appears that the situation is bad and is getting worse. Absolute suppression of all liberty of action, speech and Press is the worst feature,” he said. The Berlin correspondent of the Swedish “Social Demokraten” says the Germans have banned entry to big areas round Narvik and Tromsoe. Anyone entering without a permit will be shot. The Stockholm correspondent of “The. Times’ says the German military authorities in Norway, as their latest precaution against invasion have ordered all motor-vehicles all over the country, including doctors cars, to muster at specified points for inspection and eventual requisition. The Germans have already issued evacuation instructions to inhabitants on the coast who must go to an inland address when signalled to do so.
