TRAINED NURSES

WAIRARAPA BRANCH MEETING HELD LAST NIGHT. ADDRESS ON “FIRE- EMERGENCY.’’ There was an excellent attendance of nurses at the monthly meeting of the Wairarapa branch of the Trained Nurses’ Association held in Masterton last night. During the evening Miss Higginson, matron of the Greytown Hospital, was congratulated upon her appointment as president of the Greytown branch of the Returned Services Association. Miss Higginson suitably replied. Mr Clark, Superintendent of the Masterton Fire Brigade, addressed those present, his subject being “Fire Emergency.” Various methods of fire rescue work and the treatment of incendiary bombs was dealt with and greatly appreciated. Sister Curtis, on behalf of the members, thanked Mr Clark for his most instructive address.
