WIPED OUT
GERMAN HEAVY BATTERY AT OSTEND DESTROYED BY BRITISH WARSHIP. ALL MEMBERS OF GUN CREWS KILLED OR INJURED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, Noon.) RUGBY, June 19. A battery of heavy naval guns installed by the Germans on the Ostend Racecourse has been destroyed by gunfire from a passing British warship. The battery received several direct hits and was completely destroyed. All the officers and men of the gun crews were either killed or injured.
