SPITFIRE SWEEPS
DAMAGE DONE TO ENEMY SHIPS MINE-SWEEPER BEACHED AND OTHERS CRIPPLED. LOSSES ON BOTH SIDES IN DOGFIGHTS. LONDON, June 19. A Spitfire squadron attacked a coaster near Le Havre and left it badly damaged. Three enemy mine-sweepers were shot up off the Belgian coast. One was beached and the other two were severely crippled. In dogfights, four enemy planes were destroyed and others damaged. We lost three fighters.
