MINIATURE RIFLES SCORES AT WEEKLY COMPETITION. t (“Times-Age” Special.) The following were the best scores registered by members of the Featherston Miniature Rifle Club on Wednesday night: —S. Allender, 88; A. McKenzie, 90; L. Halpin, 86; Joan Marshall, 80; Elva Reed, 74; B. Williams, 97; K. McKenzie, 94; L. Rasmussen, 96; J. H. Buck, 91; A. Viles, 96; Mrs Rasmussen, 89; Mrs Symons, 65; F. Buck, 87. SERVICE CLUB EUCHRE TOURNAMENT. There was a fair attendance at the euchre tournament held at the Service Club. Mr Cassidy won the first prize, and Mrs Nielson the second prize. Personal. Private W. Anderson, who recently suffered serious head injuries as the result of a fall from a motor cycle, is progressing satisfactorily towards recovery. Patriotic Raffle. The tray donated by Mrs Bradley Brockett to the Tauherenikau Patriotic Committee, was won by Mr M. Skeet, Morison’s Bush. COSY THEATRE DOUBLE PROGRAMME. Tonight there will be presented an excellent double programme headed by “Gone With the Wind Up” .featuring the Crazy Gang), and “Melody and Moonlight,” in which Johnny Downs and Barbara Allen are starred.
