GOLF CLUB DRAW FOR TROPHY COMPETITION (“Times-Age” Special.) The draw for the Greytown Lady Golf Club’s flag competition (club trophy) to be played on Saturday, is as follows: — Mrs Maddison v. Miss E. Gregor; Mrs Mead v. Mrs Jury; Mrs Thompson v. Miss R. Collier; Miss M. Wood v. Miss Quinn; Miss Higginson v. Miss M. Skeet; Miss B .Gregor v. Miss J. Bouzaid; Miss Askew v. Miss Wiggins. Hockey. The draw for the southern hockey matches on Saturday is as follows: — At Greytown: D v. F; Cv. E. At Carterton: B v. H; Av. G. The first games will start at 1.30 p.m. and the second series at 3 p.m. Soldiers’ Club Entertainment. An enjoyable time was spent at the Greytown Soldiers’ Club when an informal programme arranged by Miss Catherine Keddell, was much appreciated by a large attendance of soldiers. Songs were contributed by Miss I. Askew, tap dances by Miss Pat Sugrue and Highland dances by Beth Stuart, with bagpipe accompaniments played by Mr Alec. Stuart. Other accompaniments were played by Mrs Vinsen- and Misses C. Keddell and J. Dennes. Community singing and a exhibition of sleight-of-hand tricks were also much enjoyed. Private M. Low, on behalf of the soldiers present, thanked the performers and the hostesses for the enjoyable gathering provided. TOWN HALL TOMORROW’S PROGRAMME. The outstanding American Army comedy, “Caught in the Draft,” starring Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour, will head the programme at the Town Hall tomorrow night. The picture is the big “laugh blitz” of the year. Episode 13 of “Drums of Fu Manchu” will also be shown.
