MOTOR CAR ON FIRE

OUTBREAK QUICKLY SUPPRESSED At 7.10 o’clock this morning the Mastertqn Fire Brigade received a call to the premises of Jenkins Motor Services Ltd,, in Bannister Street, Masterton, a fire having occurred in a nine-seater passenger car as the result of backfiring . The brigade soon had the fire out, using their chemical outfit. The ignition wires on the car were damaged but otherwise no damage was done.
