MEETING AT HASTWELLS. COMPETITION WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) ' . Mrs K. Ngatuere presided over a fair attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the Hastwells Women’s Institute. The competitions resulted as follows: Best men’s handkerchief, seniors, Miss A. Dick 1, Miss H. Madsen 2, Miss O. Halberg: 3. Juniors: Miss P. Manihera 1, Miss E. Larsen 2, Miss B. Casely 3. Garden competition: Best collection of weeds: Miss I. Madsen 1, Mrs K. Ngatuere 2, Mrs Madsen 3. A parcel fund competition conducted by Miss Manihera was won by Mrs Morriss. A game conducted by Mrs Dick and the Misses Dicks was won by Mrs K. Ngatuere, Miss I. Madsen being second and Miss O. Halberg third. The hostesses, Mrs Madsen and Miss O. Halberg, served afternoon tea.
