FURTHER GERMAN ATTACKS DEFEATED.HEAVY ENEMY LOSSES IN LOCAL ACTIONS. (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) LONDON, June 17. A Moscow communique states: “We continue to repel German attacks on the Kharkov front. On one sector of this front 600 Germans were killed and twenty tanks were destroyed. “Russian units on the Bryansk front captured an enemy position, repulsed numerous German efforts to recapture it and killed over 400 Germans.”
