RED INDIANS & PALEFACES SIX NATIONS DECLARE WAR ON AXIS. COLOURFUL CEREMONY IN WASHINGTON. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.25 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 16. The six Indian nations of the Iroquois Confederacy have declared war on the Axis. Onondaga, the chieftain, told the Vice-President, Mr H. A. Wallace, in a colourful ceremony on the Capitol steps: “Although the Indians may have had differences with their Paleface brothers in the past, that is all over. Let us be united now and win the war together.”
