SOME BIG DIVIDENDS. WIN FOR LADY CALLAGHAN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) MARTON, June 7. Form was all astray at Marton on Saturday when the Wanganui Jockey Club concluded its winter meeting. Two favourites. High Class and Lady Callaghan, succeeded, but double-figure dividends were returned in five of the other races, Trig Station paying more than a quarter of a century to win the open sprint, while Noble Eagle’s win in the scurry saw odds above the halfcentury. The day was fine and the track dead. The totalisator handled £25,398, compared with £30,656 on the second day last year.
