SECOND ROUND
NOW BEING FOUGHT IN LIBYA. ENEMY COUNTER-ATTACK REPULSED. (British Official Wireless.) ■ (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.), RUGBY, June 7. The general view in. London of the fighting in Libya, as revealed by the latest Army communique, is that the opposing forces are now about in_the middle of the second round. The British attack was followed by an enemy counter-attack, which was repulsed. This counter-attack originated from the concentration of armoured forces in the now famous £ap. in the line stretching from Gazala, in the north, to Bir Hacheirn, in the south The steadiness and stamina of the Free French troops in Bir Ijlacheim is still a matter for congratulation.
