OBITUARY
MR DANIEL MARTIN DEEGAN. The death occurred yesterday of Mr Daniel Martin Deegan, of Masterton, at the age of ,53 years. The late Mr Deegan, who was born at Alton, Patea, had resided in the Wairarapa for the past 28 years. He followed the occupation of motor mechanic. He was keenly interested in football and athletics and in his younger days played in the Western division Rugby competitions in Taranaki. Mr Deegan had been in indifferent health for the past three months. He is survived by a widow and by two sons, Daniel Martin and John Patrick Deegan, both of whom are serving with the New Zealand Forces in the Middle East. Mr J. Deegan, New Plymouth, is a brother. The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving St Patrick's Church following Requiem Mass at 9 a.m. for the Masterton Cemetery.
