A convoy carrying very large and important reinforcements of war material to Russia has arrived at a Russian port,' after attacks extending over five days by German dive-bombers, tor-pedo-carrying planes and Üboats. Well over 100 German planes attacked the convoy. Three were shot down, two more were probably destroyed and two others were damaged. The Germanjs claim to have de* stroyed 18 ships and to have damaged many more but it is now known that their claim has been exaggerated by over 175 per cent.
