FEDERAL PREMIER CONFERS WITH MACARTHUR AND OTHER MILITARY CHIEFS. IMPORTANT QUESTIONS DISCUSSED. CANBERRA, This Day. The Federal Prime Minister, Mr Curtin, had a 4J hour conference with General MacArthur and his staff. Mr Curtin announced later that they discussed important questions relating to the SouthWest Pacific. Mr Curtin is also to confer with General Sir Thomas Blarney, Com-mander-in-Chief of the land forces in Australia, and other commanders.
