NORTHERN OAKS & DERBY. HASTINGS COMPETITOR WINS BOTH EVENTS. A big meeting was held by the Wairarapa Coursing Club during the weekend, when two classics, the. Northern Derby and Northern Oaks, were among the events decided. The contests took place at the Akura Plumpton enclosure. The Oaks were. won by H. Fannin’s Spiteful Nell and the Derby by the same 1 owner’s The Gunner. The Archer Cup and Watson Rose Bowl contests were also decided. Results are: Archer Cup. First round: Wind Up, R.
