SALE AT ADDINGTON SHAFIP RISE IN FAT SHEEP VALUES. PORKER PRICES IMPROVE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ' CHRISTCHURCH, May 27. At the Addington market fat sheep advanced sharply today. Fat cattle maintained recent rates for a much larger entry. The store sheep entry comprised 200 lambs, 664 wethers and 247 ewes, less than halt the entry last week. There was active competition for an unattractive yarding. Ewe lambs made 17s 9d; weather lambs 12s 4d to 16s, two-tooth wethers to 265; lour and six-tooth to 23s 9d; two-tooth ewes to 28s 6d. The fat sheep entry totalled 4000. Prime wethers improved by 2s Id and ewes 2s 6d to 3s. Prime wethers 32s to 395; medium zBs 6d to ols, light to 255; prime ewes to 32s Id; medium 21s to 245; ordinary 18s 6d to 20s inferior 15s 6d to 18s. , j Fat cattle: Prime young steers, heifers and cows maintained last week’s rates in the fat cattle entry, which was 580, compared With 650 last week. Good beef made 38s to 41s 1001 b; extra to 42s 6d; medium 36s to 37s (id; unfinished steer beef 33s to 35s 6d; secondary and inferior cow beef 25s to 275. Prime steers £l4 to £l9; medium £l2 10s to £l3; light to £11; good heifers £lO to £l4 2s 6d; prime cows £9 5s to £l3 7s Gd; medium £5 to £6 ss; light and aged to £4 15s. Fat pigs: Values were a shade better for a medium supply of porkers. The entry was small but its good quality brought keen demand with a rise of 4s a head. Porkers averaged 6'/ 2 d 1o 7‘/ 2 d a lb., and baconers 6%d to Bd.
