GOLF LADIES’ COMPETITION. (“Times-Age” Special.) The ladies played a 9-hole eclectic competition on the Gum Grove linkson Wednesday afternoon. Mrs Pope, with a score of 30, secured first place. Mrs Elbe and Miss Williams (37) tied for second place, and Mrs Batchelor and Mrs R. Donald (38) were next in order. Euchre Tournament. At the euchre tournament held in the Service Club on Tuesday night Mrs Mellish was the winner with Mrs. A W. Edwards second. Miss Betty Bimler was the competition winner. Personal. Mrs Parsons is -spending a few days in Wellington. Mrs L. Burt, Carterton, is visiting her sister, Mrs Fred Clark, for a few days. cosFtheatre ACTION & COMEDY. “The Parson of Panamint,” to be- ( screened tomorrow night, depicts action and comedy out where the West begins. The principal roles will be taken by Charles Ruggles, Ellen Drew and Philip Terry. Episode 6 of “Drums of Fu Manchu” will also be continued.
