DAYLIGHT EMERGENCY
TRIAL ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON INSTRUCTIONS TO WARDENS. Arrangements are well advanced for the E.P.S. daylight emergency trial to be held in Masterton on Saturday afternoon. Although vehicular traffic in the borough will be restricted during the period of emergency to that of the armed forces, bus services, taxis, through traffic and the E.P.S., the Mayor, Mr T. Jordan, who is chairman of the E.P.S. organisation, states that this ban will not apply to bicycles, other than in certain lengths of roads specifically closed to traffic. The orders issued to wardens in connection with Saturday’s daylight emergency trial to assemble at district wardens’ posts to receive instructions have been cancelled and attention is drawn to an advertisement in this issue, stating that wardens will take up duty as directed by the district warden.
