KOPUARANGA
WOMEN’S INSTITUTE MONTHLY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Kopuaranga Women’s Institute was held in the Hall on Thursday, Mrs W. J. Cottle presiding over a good attendance of members. Apologies were received from Mesdames Hewitt, Clark, Reside, Jackson and Miss M. Cottle. The president congratulated Mrs Jarrett on being a member of the Wairarapa Executive for a further twelve months. The bowl won by the Institute for a potato competition was on the president’s table and was admired by all. Members were asked to bring old files and rasps to' the June meeting. It was also proposed that a bring ..and buy be held in June. Competition results were as follows: Best bloom, Miss Doreen 1, Mrs Brophy 2, Mrs Reside 3; hot water bag cover, Mrs Brophy 1, Miss M. Cottle 2, Mrs Reside 3. A box lecture on rug making proved most interesting. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mrs W. J. Cottle and Miss M. Clarke.
