LAVA FLOW IN HAWAII.

The Army Department has revealed that the world’s largest volcano, Mauna Loa, on the island of Hawaii, exploded violently on April 26. It continued in eruption for a fortnight, till a huge lava flow which threatened the city of Hilo was finally rendered’ quiet by aerial bombing. At the height of the flow, molten lava reached with eight miles of Hilo, causing some damage to property. It was the volcano’s greatest activity since 1881.'
