DAYLIGHT ATTACKS
ON NORTHERN FRANCE BOULOGNE & CALAIS BOMBED NINE ENEMY PLANES SHOT DOWN. EIGHT BRITISH FIGHTERS LOST. LONDON, May 17. In a series of sweeps over Northern France yesterday R.A.F. fighters destroyed nine enemy fighters. Yesterday morning Boston bombers, escorted by fighters attacked the docks at Boulogne and targets' in the Calais area. Eight of our fighters are missing.
