OBITUARY ‘ MRS EMMA COSTER. (“Times-Age” Special.) The death occurred m a convalescent home in Wellington on Tuesday of Mrs Emma Coster, widow of the late Mr George Coster. She was born in Victoria and arrived in Chistchurch at an early age, where she spent her childhood. The late Mrs Coster had lived in Eketahuna for 50 years. She took a prominent part in St. Cuthbert’s Anglican Church, Sewing Guild and always took' charge of the plain sewing stall at bazaars and garden fetes which was always well stocked with*her own work. She was a Red Cross worker during the Great War. A funeral service was held at St. Cuthbert’s Anglican Church. The Rev. G. E. Williams, vicar, conducted the service. Miss M. Wilson was at the organ, and old and favourite hymns were sung. The chief mourners were Mr George Coster, son (Waipukurau), and two, daughters, Mesdames Campbell (New Plymouth) and L. Green (Wellington), one brother, Mr William Austin (Fcilding), and a nephew, Mr Thomas Austin (Inglewood). One daughter, Mrs Brookes (Hamilton) was unable to be present. Beautiful floral wreaths were sent from the following: —Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board, Tarawa Electric Power Board, Eketahuna Fire Brigade, and St. Cuthbert’s Church Ladies' Guild, besides many private wreaths. The interment took place at the Eketahuna cemetery, the pall-bearers being Messrs A. Rowden, R. Hulford, L. M. Brown, H. Durlc, T. Johanson, and K. G. Falkner. Personal. Miss Corbett, Greatford, is the guest of Mrs J. B. Carruthers, Hamuar Mrs Syme, New Plymouth, is the guest of her sister, Mrs McDonald, Ihuraua. Mrs Unwin and Miss Janet Perry spent a few days in Hastings. Mrs H. P. Hansen has returned, home after visiting Palmerston and Wellington. , . , A cablegram has been received by Mr Cecil Parsons from his sister, Mrs William Holloway, Bath, England, to say that all were well but homeless.
