HOCKEY
MEN’S FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. REFEREES APPOINTED. The following men’s games will be played tomorrow: — No. 5 v No. 1, at Lansdowne No. 1, at I.JU; Messrs Moor and Lewis.. No. 3 v No. 8, at Lansdowne No. 3, at 1.3 U, Messrs Hayne and Tooby. No. 7 v No. 6, at Lansdowne No. 1, at 3 p.m.; Mr Tooby and Lance-Corporal Stuckey. No. 2 v No. 4, at Lansdowne No. 4, at 3 p.m.; referees to be appointed. Thanks to the help of a squad from the Armed Forces, all the Lansdowne grounds are now marked out and are in good order for play. There is a shortage of referees and any members of the Armed Forces or others capable of controlling a game are asked to report either to Mr A. Southey or Mr R. S. Moor on the Lansdowne ground on Saturday. LADIES' GAMES. KIA ORA'TEAM. The following is the Kia Ora ladies’ hockey team to play Excelsior at Lansdowne at 2.45 p.m. on Saturday:—N. Perry. E. Savage, D. Brett, M. Brett, G. Clarke, J. Miller, N. Fly, N. Wilson, J. Rutherford, J. Phillips, J. Grantham. Emergency: N. Dixon. Anyone unable to play is asked to ring 1965.
