GOLF BOGEY COMPETITION. (“Times-Age” Special.) The ladies played a bogey competition on the “Gum Grove” links on Wednesday. Mrs Pope won the competition. Mrs Batchelor and Mrs Elbe tied for second place, with Miss Williams in fourth place. Personal. Mrs J. B. Davis, Morrinsville, and Mr T. O’Donnell, Wellington are the guests of Mrs Roy D.onald, “Gum Grove,” for a few days. Engagement. Mrs H. S. Bergh, Featherston announces the engagement of her daughter, Hazel Benetta, to Alexander Percival (Pat), only son of Mrs J. A. Cunningham, of Tauranga, and the late Mr J. A. Cunningham. COSY THEATRE Screening tomorrow night is “Pirates on Horseback,” with William Boyd and Russell Hayden. Also “Behind the News,” starring Lloyd Nolan and Doris Davenport, and episode 5 of “Drums of Fu Manchu.”
