LIGHTING RESTRICTIONS

MEETING OF COUNTY XA/ARDENS. REQUIREMENTS OF REGULATIONS There was a full muster of Masterton County wardens at a meeting held last night at the Council Chambers, when the District Lighting Controller, Mr George Brown, addressed those present on the lighting restriction regulations as they applied to country areas. Mr Brown emphasised three points, that the lighting restrictions applied exactly the same to country areas as they did to towns, that provision should be made in every house to have one room prepared for blackout purposes and that blinds must be drawn every night over’ xvindows and fanlights of rooms in use.
