GIFT TO NEW ZEALAND PATRIOTIC FUND TALKING PICTURE UNIT & RADIO SETS. ACQUIRED FOR TROOPS IN FIJI. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day? As a result of an Anzac Day dinner in New York at which Mr x W. Nash (New Zealand Minister) was present, the New Zealand Patriotic Fund is to benefit to the extent of 5,000 dollars. The money, according to the decision of the board’s Standing Committee, is to be used in the purchase of writing material and paper, to be forwarded to New Zealand for distribution by the board. The board has decided to purchase a mobile talking-picture unit, for service with outlying troops in Fiji and also to purchase 50 .battery-operated sets for these troops. The Library Service report shows that to date 152,135 books and 163,513 periodicals have been issued to the Navy, Army and Air Force.
