STATE THEATRE

SPLENDID DOUBLE PROGRAMME. Tonight’s programme will be headed by a splendid double bill, “Mexican Spitfire’s Baby” and “Bandit Trail.” “The Mexican Spitfire’s Baby” is a bright comedy which presents Leon Errol in a double role. He is seen as the uncle of Buddy Rogers and Lupe Velez, a married couple, and as a bibulous British peer, Lord Epping. When he tries to smooth out a matrimonial difference between the pair he sets the stage for some bright entertainment. The mad mix-up which occurs as Errol executes his amazing dual assignments is finally brought to a successful conclusion. The supporting film, “The Bandit Trail,” tells a most exciting story in a graphic manner. The acting is of a high standard and the picture one that will be appreciated by patrons.
