REGENT THEATRE
“THE GIRL IN THE NEWS.” Much of the story of “The Girl in the News,” which will be shown tonight, is occupied with the trial of a nurse for murder, and the court action keeps the audience at a constant pitch of excitement until the novel and satisfactory climax. Margaret Lockwood takes the leading role of the nurse who is twice arraigned on a charge of murder. Opposite her is Barry Barnes, who plays the part of the shrewd young barrister whose enthusiasm and skill result in the establishment of the innocence of his client. Emlyn Williams is anothei star who does good work in the picture and there are a number of cameos among the minor characters. The supports are excellent.
